Spot,

Would need some absolute like C:\images\...gif. I tested it on both Netscape and IE4 as I thought it might try to path it through:

xxx.com

but it seems to recognize the correct path for both regular HTML and embedded javascript. So I'm hopeful the only instruction would be exact naming of a directory on a C: drive.

I'm wondering is there's a relative HD path, at least for PCs. My DOS memory is lousy. I have enough room on my Mindspring server to make alternate files of the course for local GIFs. Probably could get 70%-75% usage if it were easy enough.

I'll check installshield. Wonder if its really anything more than the self-extracting zip files.

My records show over 20% users still going with 2.0, 3.0 of NSCP and IE. That's incredible to me. But am insisting on 4.0+ for the courses as they contain real audio, javascript and frames. Java is too much to ask of the uninitiated. Dow Jones is going with it on their new courses but I think it's a mistake.
