The only advice i have for you is that if you need your hand held, like you make it seem, don't short sell, it's not a game for wusses

Bear Down is fired up from his jousting at the MLRE thread, but he is a good guy.

As far as your question, check out Anthony@Pacific's thread. He does a great job of short-term short ideas, and helps people on the thread in the timing. But you will probably only be able to borrow 30% to 50% of the stocks he is targeting.

Auric has great long-term short ideas on really bad companies (which matches my personal preferences). Mr. Pink is also outstanding and often picks companies' with stock that is easy to borrow. Bill Wexler also makes some good calls.

I prefer to hold some long term shorts (ie, TERA, VTCH, CYOE, TMSR, MODA) and then do some short trading (ie, DBCC, IMON and others from Anthony's thread. I am also boxed up on SRCM awaiting some BS PR.

Hope this is a little bit useful.

Archer has it right. I tend to be a little longer term, so I've got nothing immediate at the moment. Will post if and when I do. Not good to force these things, just know them and trade around them.
