Bullsh*t. Prove it. I dont consider giving slightly lower prices to someone who has ordered 500 books to be price fixing, though.

It's very easy to see this kind of thing is not occuring on Amazon, all their books are either 30% or 10% off the list price. I've never seen anything pop up 31% or 29%. And they can't misquote the MSRP/list price without committing fraud. Service Merchandise was caught raising the MSRP on jewelry so they could offer "discounts" in the store, and the state courts sued them to stop the deception. They ended up paying tens of millions in penalties.

And airlines discriminate based on "how many days in advance you buy the ticket." While this is of course aimed at the business traveller, it is extremely easy to get around.
