Congrats, Spots. Glad to hear you're closing in on a finish.

They should be great machines. It's super that you're so close to Minotaur--a definite advantage should anything go wrong.

Onsale's funny about pricing. Not surprisingly, for ongoing auctions (things like the 930, the fasttrak, etc.) there's a tendency for the first few auctions to be priced lower than the later ones--I gather the word gets out. The 930's in the action I bought were all new; now, remanufactured ones are going for quite a bit more.

Even as the thread's resident skinflint <g>, I completely agree about not sweating every last $ of peripheral savings. When it's time to make it come together, it's time.

Good luck with the closing days,

Dave

Thanks for the suggestion re: voltage and congrats on the machines. Both sound great. FWIW, I'm wondering if you or anyone else saw the article on 300A's at Anand's site that mentions a particular emblem and code stamped on the chip that seems to correspond to overclockability. It was not written by Anand but a "guest author" who'd written a very interesting report. I still haven't bought a 300A standby and hope the supply stays up a little longer(g).
