I think you can go to schwab's website, download a prospectus and place an order for shares directly from the web after reviewing the prospectus. You might want to verify this with their ipo office on a day when there are no "hot" offerrings going public.

I, too, was informed by Schwab around 1:30 EST on Saturday. ON Friday, I was a little bummed b/c I didn't receive an allocation. However, Schwab came through for me.
