Some applications remember where they were and open at the same place. Others insist on launching to the primary monitor. And then browsers - typically several used - seem to open where-ever the last one was shut down ... maybe. O.K., if there is a pattern to MSIE I am not sure what it is! <g>

No doubt there are technical reasons for these characteristics - but they are currently beyond my scope so I leave it to others to address why these variations occur.
