red - thanks - What I can't see is how the issue of an extra share for each one held actually protects the shareholders? I know I'm missing something here - but if I have a share worth $5.15 and am issued another share, my two shares will be worth $2.575 each. Barrick will have the same treatment surely, as there can be no discrimination against any shareholder - so all we have is a company with twice as many shares and the same total net asset value as before - so where's the advantage? dd
