ProTA has never crashed on me, but its just an end-of-day TA tool, not a real time intraday program. I run it on a 180 Mhz Powerbook 3400 with 32 mb. I also run it on a 300 Mhz unit, but I assume you only want to know if it crashed on a limited-capability machine. I generally keep the program open 8-12 hours a day in order to look something up when I am trading, and my screening is as complex as 20 indicators on portfolios of 200 stocks and 50 mutual funds at a time.

I've had a couple of problems with Dial Data, but nothing that was entirely their fault or not fixed the next day by either BeeSoft or Dial.
