Christopher: As a person who likes charts, history and data, I came across this by way of my broker. What do you think?
l) about 3 times each year the Dow declines 5% or more with an average decline duration of 40 days.
2) About once every 2 years the Dow declines l5% or more and lasts an average of 2l7 days.
3 About every 4 years the Dow endures a 20% or more decline(no average duration given)
4) If we ended l998 at 9l8l.43, would the first support be the 8722 level? Currently at 9l20.67 we are at -.6% for the year. Your thoughts? Thanks

Christopher: Now there's a profound piece of advice!

I was definitely poking fun at you, but in a tongue-in-cheek friendly kind of way. It was not meant to be a negative criticism. If that's the way Robbie took it, then yes, he was wrong also. If you understand the meaning of the word "profound" you will understand that it does not apply to jim kelley's statement. I understood Robbie's comment about jim to be saying, "Profound. NOT!" You know, just the opposite? Maybe I misunderstood Robbie, but I don't think so.

Are you and I OK now??
