I don't like Clinton but I don't believe in the distortion which has been heaped upon him. Sure, he made his own bed. He blew it. And he knows it. His actions will forever be debated by historians. But there's one very precious page of history I never wanna see: A President booted out of office against the will of the people.

And all of this from a prosecution where only about .000001 percent of anyone so charged has actually seen a court proceeding? And even then there were probably background problems to those individuals who did in up in court. So, no, Clinton--good or bad--this impeachment proceeding makes absolutely no sense, Darrell.

And how kind is this impeachment effort to the good of the country? Were Clinton impeached, and Gore takes over and Gore then makes a VP appointment needing Senate confirmation, and Gore slips on the ice or gets taken out by an Iraqi or Ben Laden terrorit-type, who then is the president? A man nobody knows--only the political junkies know who Hastert is--and a man whose never withstood any national scrutiny of voters. No, Darrell, this impeachment trial treads and tampers on too much that is precious.

What Clinton did may well be a valuable Sunday School lesson, but it is not worthy of an impeachment trial either in the House or in the Senate.
