i've always thought,
this story is just too compelling,
too good to be true,
there has to be something wrong,
there has to be something missing,
this is a marketing dream,
this story on a concept basis,
gets better and better,
my juices are flowing...

Low-bandwidth connections are gong to be around for a long time.

Cable is not portable. DSL is not portable.

It will be a long time before either is pervasive.

Therefore, the New Media Company must bite the bullet and support the "any media, any speed, any device" paradigm ... ref George Bell. This is just a more interesting problem for the engineers who will, of course, whine for awhile and then get excited about it.

Think laptoppers, palm piloters, wirelessers, etc, etc ...

The email portability should not be underestimated, you're right. Good point.

My post was a fit of banter, mostly, looking for someone to comment, maybe even eliciting information concerning the realities of the situation, as they may be. But your points are well taken. Thanks.
