All civilized nations have entered Human Rights Conventions, implementing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). They are self-executing, like our constitution, unlike UDHR. An injured party can sue and over-turn the actions of States (like the UK and France). Because the Constitution of the U.S. has no significant conflicts with the Human Rights Conventions (we pioneered human rights enforcement at law) there is no conflict. One has been able successfully to sue the Federal and State governments since the Civil War (5th, Court of Claims, 14th Amendment). Economic conventions (like WTO) do not override Constitutional guarantees. Any World decision against U.S. can+not be enforced by foreign courts, nor can US courts deprive an individual protected by the Constitution. The US govt may be required to change the laws that violate the conventions, or withdraw, but cannot dump on an individual or business. IMO from a reading of the laws and court history.

LRR:

Only the freedom to create wealth propels Man forward and keeps him free. Statist societies can only exist by becoming parasites of the freer societies that create wealth -- or become cannabalistic and feed upon its own people.

Case in point: The former USSR and current Red China.
