You stuck Devereaux and his marines on Wake and left them there, left half the 4th Marines to be seized by the Japanese and the rest to die on ill-armed Corregidor. FDR saved the world from a new dark age -- he was too brave, crippled in body as he was, to give in to cowards like you and Lindbergh and the German-American Bund and withdraw from the world. Most of those who died for us believed they were dying for something worth dying for, the freedom of the peoples of the world. Now you and other brain-dead poltroons deny their heroism and full worth. Without the ship construction program FDR wheedled out of Congress, the Japanese would have swept the seas. Without the planes financed by withholding taxes, Germany and Japan could have won. I despise your ignorance and idiocy on these matters.
