Doug, Thank you for your input. It seems that we may have the old Communistic planning to escalate into a cold war situation once again. Democracy is starving the Russian people and they are not happy campers. A Commie putz? or take over is a possibility and they are always concerned about maintaining a balance of power throughout the world.
I remember Communist Cheks in 1957 supplying Israel with guns to defeat the Arabs and then in 67 they changed sides and supplied Egypt with a potful of modern fighter aircraft and armour. I just find it interesting that Russia, China, and France is telling us in no uncertain terms to not bomb Iraq and then Saddam and the Serbs start manuevering from a position of strength.

I worked out of Temple in 1970-73 and spent a lot of time in Killeen, Ft. Hood area. Its the same up here with the Calvary and Artillery units at Ft. Sill. They gave Reagan a present when he visited by blowing away a mountain. Pretty amazing. (and noisy.)

IMO, the Middle East wars will continue to escalate. Hope Israel never has to use their Final Option.

Do you remember when the Soviets claimed that they were unable to account for a number of Nuclear suitcase bombs just after the breakup of the Soviet Union?
