Hutcheson - Re: "It sounds like Gartner is a major Intel shareholder just like you"

What a trip !

I love your excuses !

1. Gartner Group is an investor in Intel

2. Ziff Davis allows Intel to write Winstone Benchmarks in Intel's favor.

Any other excuses for your failed AMD investment?

Paul

Hutch - Re: "The K6-3 mobile will beat anything that Intel has ..."

Will the K6-3 run at 2.2 or 2.3 volts and 22.7 watts at 400 MHz?

Or will they run at 1.8 volts and 333 MHz so they don't eat up battery life in 15 minutes?

Will K6-3 mobile systems be outfitted with 2 MegaBytes of L3 cache?

Or will the performance DEGRADE because notebook vendors won't stick in the extra cost, power hungry 2 MEGABYTES of L3 cache required to give the K6-3 decent performance?

Answer these questions and you will quickly learn why your beloved, long-awaited, long-delayed, darling K6-3 won't beat what Intel has to offer in 0.25 micron technology.

Hutch - Re: " .18 versions of their 4 year old designs . "

That must ROAST YOUR TOAST !

Intel peddling 4 year old designs that beat the pants off AMD's new-born devices.

I guess that makes the K6-3 still-born, eh ?

Paul

Brian,

Re: " ... release .18 versions of their 4 year old designs ."

Brian, you finally got the "right end" of the "soldering iron" ... Please
tell Ali, "It is not the architecture thing" ... but ... "It is the process
thing" that makes the difference !!!

Make It So,
Yousef
