A couple of answers . . .

The INS deal and the GSA schedule TP-600s are apparently unrelated. When the government puts out a job for bid, it has determined that it cannot get its needs met on the take-it-or-leave it standard version available on a GSA schedule. If that had been true, almost certainly the INS would have bought IDX equipment off the rack on the GSA schedule. It also means, however, that GSA sales should go forward as usual, no matter what the INS has chosen to do.

As for the bank thumbprints, don't get too excited. These are not electronically scanned prints, but "inkless" pads (actually supplied by Identicator Corp., which was not acquired in the merger deal).
