The ID is only used by programs that run on the PC in question. For Internet access, the one program that most people use is a browser. Are you under the MISTAKEN IDEA that a BROWSER will read the ID and send it out to any web site without a users permission ? Are you also under the illusion that your name and social security number and shares of AMD stock that you own are somehow traceable to that ID inside a CPU? Maybe you can explain how. Paul
