Jake, RE: TCI set top boxes. As i remember Bill Gates and Co were not happy with the deal they got from TCI even after making an investment. Right after their disappointment, they again starting focussing on other channels of delivery and even warmed to other modes of broadcast.------prior to that deal the investments by MSFT into cable companies did a lot for cable stocks because MSFT was picking cable over telephone for the future. That is why we get rumors of MSFT taking over a U.K. cable company. They were just ticked off that SUNW got a part of the deal without making any investments in those companies.
