Andy: Thanks for your input. I don't know whether it's a good idea to buy MANU or not,if it is I hope ITWO give the idea serious thought.

Andy,

Of the points you mention, the one that makes the most sense to me is to buy MANU to keep other companies from buying them, but I would only agree to do that only if the price was very cheap. The market is exploding, and i2's capital resources can likely be applied more effectively elsewhere (like attacking the automobile supply chain -- I just love that strategy $$$).

MANU is dying and probably won't recover IMO. If ITWO can develop a CPG advantage in house for less than cost of a buyout, then as a shareholder I'd prefer to forge ahead without MANU's technology. Compatibility issues must also be considered. I've heard comments that MANU's architecture may not fit well with i2's in a merger scenario.

I don't know that there's many doors that MANU will open that i2 can't open on their own. ITWO seems to winning almost all the time when the two go head to head, although general impression is that MANU compares favorably in CPG.

Thanks for the comments on i2's positive impression in the hiring market.

Shane
