That is what I mean about hidden agendas Dave. The beauty about Sprint is if you don't like it, return the phone within 30 days and get full credit. You only pay for service you have used and no more.

Below is a link to their site where you can look at various pricing plans. I used both my zip code 92677, Chicago 60611 and New York 10023 and none of the plans mention a contract. I am not sure if they even offer them and that is one of their selling points in media ads here in Calif.

Dave,

What is your agenda? Why are you so anti CDMA? It appears you represent the non CDMA group. Clearly, from all your posts your commentary is not objective.

I have had Sprint PCS since last spring and have absolutely no problem
roaming Mi, Oh, In,Ms, Fl, Wi and other states. Bought the Sony B1201 outright and no contract required. I suppose if they gave you the phone a contract would be necessary. My daughter, an Alaska resident, touring the lower 48 purchased ATT(TDMA) One Rate because of ability to call her home and business in Fairbanks,Ak, at the single rate. Sprint does not have coverage to that area. On a call here (Mi) from Arizona the other day she drifted in and out and reception was very noisy. When I suggested she may be at the outer limits of the antenna reception pattern she complained her transmission was always noisy and erratic, even within town(Tucson), or other areas. I pay $23.00 or so for 200 minutes(special deal)but never use near that amount, but I need the phone for emergency calls as I have 2 elderly relatives for whom I am responsible and also great for "T" times and motels on the road. Imagine when ATT has to switch to CDMA??
