The Cover of Qualcomm's '98 Annual Report...

At first glance it looks simply like a design, but it's worth a closer look. It captures the underlying strength of the company, and IMO displays a well founded confidence in the future.

Jon: I share your frustration with the price action on QCOM. I was just thinking that the next 2 quarters will be incredibly easy earnings & revenue comparisons vs last year. We are going to be replacing $0.36 & $0.32 quarters for Mar & Jun. I do believe that once we get one of those quarters off the trailing 4, the value of this stock should be more obvious. I have thought for the last 18 mo's that this stock was overdue for a split too. Perhaps the better visibility for handsets & infra will give mgmt the incentive to do a split.

Don't worry over devaluation of the Yuan. Even though the government has not announced anything, the actual exchange rate that import/export businesses are using is already 10RMB to $1 vs. 9RMB to $1 a couple of months ago.
