It is hard to stay away from options. Well I used to buy options
to keep my cost low in retirement accounts in Canada. That is,
only 20% of the portfolio is supposed to be non Canadian .
This was one way to do it.
I just went 100% options and paid a lot in foreign content penalties.
(just got my annual statement). It was still worth it since I was
able to increase my investment 100 times what I started with in
Jan 98.

I am trying to stay away from options. I am however limiting myself
to no more than 15% (was 5%)in options--balance in
cash and stocks. Two of my accounts in which I had made the big
money won't have any options in them--Just INTel/CSCO/MSFT.

I am trying so hard to stay away from options. It is just too
tempting (more tempting if MSFT does not move up in a big way
today)
