This not an objective measure, but I did notice that AMD processors were specified in a large fraction of the computers in the sale supplements from Best Buy, Compusa, Circuit City, Office Depot, etc. in Sunday's newspaper. It may well be that they are rapidly achieving the acceptability that kept so many of us wanting "Intel Inside" stickers on a machine.
