Hi Arthur,..Re:. Would you mind elaborating on your Signal decision?

We subscribed to Signal back in late '93 for trading bonds and other commodities. The signal is via a cable modem and if cable goes out here, we're out of luck. And cable goes out frequently (Metro Atlanta) because of auto accidents, construction, storms, etc.

We were mostly happy with Signal but then started getting erratic data and changed to BMI which is also via cable modem, (big mistake). Kept BMI for over a year and just recently changed back to Signal in the past couple of weeks. TradeStation TM is primarily still set up for futures, but becoming increasingly populated with stock quotes.
We are currently evaluating whether to get real-time from Signal or via the net from Quote.com. Phone service is hugely more reliable in this area and I'm currently using an ISDN line, so I'm leaning toward a net source. Also, since I'm trading more stocks than commodities now, we may convert TradeStation TM to mostly stock. Still under consideration.

It took awhile, but it has now been proven that real-time would probably pay for itself. (stocks) <g>

Regards,

Lee
