Wally: Banana wars would be funny unless you dug into the matter a little deeper and realized the consequences to the Caribbean Island nations if the US prevails. France and England would have to increase welfare type payments to keep these people from starving as the Banana is basically their lifeblood. It is really quite a complicated matter and could lead to terrible conditions. What does it really mean to the US??? Not meaning to pick on you. You didn't take sides. But after living down there for several years I can understand their concern.
