G'day Dave - certainly, it may be a good thing to flush out the weak spots [and actually, that's to the co's benefits, if the co of concern, in this case, Sprint PCS, is customer focused.] Having said that, anecdotal data - in this case, the people on SI also using Sprint PCS services - do not provide any semblance of technical and/or business information [of course, I ask my questions from my perspective and certainly I don't see any negativity to yours.] As I ve stated earlier, I am clueless about TDMA, CDMA and GSM [I do know a few websites and a friend of mine has a telecom PhD from U.I.] So anything like the scalability and/or fashionability of each technology is welcome AFA I am concerned. If we talk about customer services, it is a different ball of wax. In the latter case, it's nothing to do with TDMA, about which is Skip's concern of bias. Still, even if it is not your intention, I ve no problem people raising and answering the concerns. In conclusion, I support your inquiry as much as the validation and/or rebuttal. Indeed, it is possible that Sprint PCS is having some growing pain, like you said. Why else it needs another 1/2B dollars?! But then, from the methodological standpoint, one person's reaction is hardly statistically sufficient. And indeed, others like Laguna have voiced their counterpoints. Ultimately, difffernt people have different scopes. For instance, since I am an investor, my concerns are for PCS to remain the price leader who can be the #1 or #2 in the major markets. If that is the case, technologies - other than scalability - and minor customer annoyance are less of a factor [for me - unless my phone service was the one not functioned properly <g>] best, Bosco
