Changing the memory bus is a big step. If there are snags either with Intel, or the memory suppliers, it will be cause a hit in the stock. Rambus is a proven product. High volume manufacturing is not yet proven. If such a snag appears, I would think it would provide the last best chance to establish a good position in RMBS at a good price.

RDRAM will happen but the market has already discounted a huge ramp going into '00. If this does not happen, then we will drift lower.

Nah, if RDRAM does not happen we will instantaneously plummet into a chasm and never see the light of day again. But you are absolutely right that deployment is not proving easy. All these testing problems for example are indicating that yields are going to be a problem, and that compounds the problem with the bigger chip AND the royalty, AND the high investment costs, It's easy to understand why alternative solutions appear attractive short term.
