50% of 3Com revenue from modems?!! Not!

Where does this BusinessWeek goof get his/her information. 3Com splits up their revenue numbers into "System" and "Client" products. Client products made up 52% of the mix as of the end of the last fiscal Quarter but this includes NICs, Modems, PC Cards, a share of PalmPilot revenue, etc. I would guess modems to make up no more than 10-20% of overall sales since NICs probably still generate more revenue than modems.

3Com's biggest source of revenue, about 50%, comes from selling modems. 3Com also sells switching and network equipment, but since its 1997 acquisition of U.S. Robotics, its primary business is modems.
