Hi Chris,
You and I used to chat on the AOL-Imax board. There dosen't seem to be any news yet on Imax to account for the big drop, but I suspect that it is poor earnings. I dumped my Imax on Jan. 6th, after riding it from 20 to 31. I noticed that the analysts had lowered their 4th quarter earnings forcast. I figured that the market would not take too kindly to a 10% quarter, after being acustomed to 30%. They kept their 1999 estimate unchanged, so this is probably a temporary situation, maybe due the scheduling of theater installations. I may take advantage of this dip to buy back, as the long term outlook is probably still good. My only concern is whether they can figure out how to satisfy both the commercial and museum type venues, while still enabling the film makers to make a decent profit.
