JT: "...comfortable where ABT is at this time..."

JT: emphasized they have suspended FORMAL process to find stratgic partner...

Q&A

Question (Tim Rainey, DB): "What will be your [JT] focus going forward?" IOW, shut up and do your job. :~(

JT: "I will have more time now that they're in informal process to get involved in the integration...1250 employees were the ones working the day-to-day integration...investment community maybe misunderstood complexity of when and how a deal would be done..."

JT: "Acquisition of intellectual property and integration of current cos. is focus now."

Tim Rainey didn't seem satisfied. (my opinion)

Question (Chad, from some fund, WI fund?): "Support management and stock price will take care of itself."

Question (Piper Jaffray): "Is $5-15 MM restructuring still on track for '99?"

Answer (Randy, ABT): "Yes. Will be at or exceed upper end of the range."
Q (Piper Jaff.): "Will investment fees up til now be included in restructuring charges?"

A: "Maybe, but insignificant anyway."

Question (Guilford sec.): "Will there be an operating earnings improvement yr-over-yr?"

Answer (Randy): "EBITDA is metric to look at. On EBITDA basis, I expect to make forward process over last year."
