Having Marquee on board is very big news for us. Marquee is the agent for Daly, Jordan, and Barkley, so if you put two and two together, why not have them in Sept for the csgc gig, they seemed to have a great time playing together...here are some relevant posts from the Yahoo board...believe me we have done our homework on this one, it hasnt been what we expected for sometime, but we sincerely beleive Damien is now headed in the right direction.... To all Classic investors...................... by: Johnny_2Bad 5025 of 5050 First of all if you want to fully appreciate the potential of this investment TODAY,not "yesterday"....you have to appreciate the enormous firepower of Marquee as the agency that is providing us with the essential "enlisting" assistance. A must read, page by page. Looks like they have been gobbling up successful , proven independant companies to place under thier "roof" at a pretty good clip. themarqueegroup.com Last week when I spoke to Damian he told me as of the deals described in the latest release, CSGC is now the most comprehensive "golf event concern" on Marquees plate (meaning the most agencies under their "roof" working in concert with each other) A current golf event concern of Marquees is the Isuzu Celebrity Golf Championship...The services enlisted by the coordinators of this event were in the area of sponsorship negotiation and the securing of television rights. Both of which we now have have with the addition of assistance in filling our field with regular tour players and sports celebrities (ams)....with more to come soon IMO. Below is an article on Isuzu Celebrity Golf Championship....a must read! I believe our format has the same potential with our coordinator -Damian Loth- and the services he has enlisted from Marquee....and in due time after that prototype is built in NY, a series of like events will be built in other cities at different times in the year. I believe it was AboCow last week that snidely described us and our investment is Classic as "saaaaaad".... what makes me sad, is that Damian wasnt allowed to be in the position to do this sooner! tahoe.com Now that we have these deals with Marquee. A better past indicator than comparing Marrs approach with Damians...is to look at the past working relationship Damian has had with Cambridge, a now wholey owned group of Marquees and their success with one another. Keep in mind when reading the article below that the 60 players that attended this event were brought there by Damian and the assistance he enlisted from Cambridge. dowco.com chunderr by: Johnny_2Bad 5040 of 5050 The Marquee that the sportswriter was referring to is "our Marquee". When I spoke to Damian last week, he confirmed that Daly, Barkley and Jordan are all Marquee "properties" and that all will be approached on our behalf for the NY event. Of course this means nothing until they commit, but it is very encouraging indeed to know that we now have access to this type caliber of talent. He also mentioned that a couple World Cup guys would be approached as well. JR by: Johnny_2Bad 5042 of 5050 I was told this week that you can get these "name" ams for plane fare...so cost is not an issue for the ams. Since they can't play on the regular tour, they are attracted to these type events for the purses and a chance to play alongside the players they admire like Daly. The exciting thing here is that thru Marquee we now have access to a very impressive list of both regular tour players and ams alike. If Marquee doesnt represent a certain player, they can get em as easily as if they were, since it is common place for Marquee to network with other agencies.
