Were they? I'd say it is almost certain that the drop happened because someone got "wind" of H&Q's negative viewpoint in advance of it being published. I've noticed this kind of thing before, especially with H&Q -- the stock will move in advance of the report being published.

I also notice that H&Q is a market-maker (is that what you meant), and did have dealings with the company. Perhaps Wind went elsewhere for some business, and they are suffering the wrath of H&Q!
