It would seem to me that the successful sales could only come through third party intermediarys of sufficient size to hold the confidence of the end users.

Obviously, Fastcomm is insignificant as a threat to Cisco. But I agree with what you say about third parties. Fastcomm could OEM to companies like GTE and Alcatel and System One, given that Fastcomm has more protocols than any other company. Also, is Fastcomm working on any electronic commerce protocols? - According to their press release they seem to already have it. Anybody competing with Cisco could seriously look at Fastcomm to help with the overall technology solution IMHO.
