Mohan, Yes, I think WIND is a great price now. I bought shares Friday afternoon and more shares today. I think the analysts will get there act together pretty soon, so there should be less confusion in the market. If the general tone of the market remains favorable we could see the share price at $40 or better next month. Please note that the stock will have a 3 for 2 split on 04 February, so $40 pre-split translates to $26-27 post split. I'm not guaranteeing this, I'm only saying it is possible.

Wind River has grown steadily for years. WIND is the market leader in commercial off-the-shelf RTOS for embedded processors. The general embedded processor market is currently growing revenue at approximately 35-40% per year. It is reasonable to assume that WIND will continue to grow at a similar rate.

Wall St. has been goofy from time to time and the stock sold-off accordingly. Look at the maximum WIND chart. You will see the sell-offs on this chart.
- summer 1996 general tech stock sell-off
- spring 1997 general tech stock sell-off + Microsoft WindowsCE scare
- fall 1998 general market sell-off Russia
You will also see that the share price always recovered.
These sell-offs were actually the opportunities to buy the shares cheap; even though it was scary at the time. It is nice to have such craziness in the market.

The management is among the best I have known, very capable and always did what they said they would do. They probably guided the analysts to estimate $0.29 so I'm confident that they will do it. In the past, if there were earnings surprises, they were always happy surprises on the plus side.

There might not be an upside surprise this time because WIND moved to new headquarters building this quarter. The move may have disrupted business a little but I'm sure it would only be a glitch. The long-term revenue trend is up.
