Crude and heating oil futures gave back some of the gains from last week's surge on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices had been bolstered by an unexpected drop in heating oil supplies due to the cold snap earlier in the month. But forecasters are calling for warmer weather in the upper Midwest in the next two weeks, meaning heating oil consumption will likely be lower.
