Tom, Love it. I have always wondered why the much faster new boxes take so much longer to boot up anything. However, Sowell is being disingenuous when he talks about Word Perfect not performing correctly. He is a conservative and opposed to anti-trust, by definition, so he probably didn't want to mention that Word Perfect's top competitor is Microsoft Word. Which has secrets in its design so it works with the Microsoft OS and the OS actively sabotages competing products. <G> BTW, his commentary is one of the few things I always read in Forbes. I disagree with most of it, but it is always thought provoking. MB
