Yes, WIND has a relationship with Sun. WIND also has customers that compete with Sun, and this complicates the situation. Thus, WIND was relieved when Sun relaxed its embedded Java licensing requirements... exchange2000.com

JINI is the new strategy Sun rolled out today to support the networking of embedded devices. Microsoft and others are offering a competing standard.

WIND has a relationship with Patriot Scientific, a tiny unknown company which has the ONLY Java chip currently in use and ready to sell today. It would be ironic if, say a week from now, we heard of a big contract going to PTSC, with WIND also benefiting. Then this sell-off would make more sense. If someone had "wind" of this deal, they might have created an opportunity to get in at a lower price. I'm just "thinking out loud" here, so don't rush out and buy on what I'm saying -- but stranger things have happened.
