Why MB Trading and not AB Watley? Does anyone know if either of these are effective in getting short shares.

PS: one problem I know about AB Watley at least (because I was looking into it) is that all the orders are day-only orders, not good-till-cancelled. A bit of a pain in the ass if you have alot of stocks you have to re-set every morning... and God help you if you're travelling or something.

Been there, done that! ...and is NASDAQ Level II fast?

I'm on a fast LAN and I have been continually irked by response times until recently when I switched from Suretrade to Datek. Suretrade is horrible and I'd be happy to give specifics off-line. But if anyone is waiting more than 30 seconds for a confirmation then you're probably losing money. I have been extremely surprised and pleased by Datek executions and confirmations even in the mornings. I get my real-times elsewhere - which is really the determining factor.

For those using E*Trade's NASDAQ Level II quotes...do you guys have T1s piped into your living rooms? Please comment on refresh rates.

Scrumpy
