I would not have done it in such a way that those that had to be saved were awarded a bonus!!!!!!!! It is becoming clear the manipulation of the gold market ran well before the begining of the LTCM problem & continues to this very day!!
To Steal money from the long term holders of mining stocks & give it
to LTCM was WRONG! The federal reserve is not allowed under the Constitution the power of taxation.

There was always the possibility of a broad based tax or fee on ALL
tax payers, not just the mining interests. This would require an act of Congress and it was not to happen.
