Keith, I had to go back deep into my records. I think original IPO AOL shares have effectively split 32-to-1. I bought a nominal 10 shares in July 1994 at $57.75 (I don't think there was a split prior to this purchase). My motivation was just to get the company's annual and quarterly reports and so that I would track the company for business purposes.

I now have 320 shares and my $600 investment is now worth $50K. If only I had put some serious money into AOL!
