Hi Hamid, Just got through with the CC. Overall, the long term prospects (forward looking statements) sound good from Q2 forward. To be honest, I'm still trying to shake off the massive charges we got hit with. The last call gave the impression that all the write offs had been dealt with in Q3. Sure didn't expect to see another $40 million hit. Probably the two biggest news items are Savage 4, and USC going public. Savage 4 will be a 32mb, 4x agp, .18 micron part. Supposedly, OEMs and AICs are drooling, and can hardly wait to design it into their products. There was an interesting article posted on the Yahoo thread about new technology for quicker development of the .18 chips. I'll post it here and give credit to mtn56 for finding it.newsalert.com &Nav=na-search-&StoryTitle=%22S3%22 I don't know if the ANALysists or the market understands what it will mean for USC to go public. My own research suggests it will add at least $4 per share to book value which will include a one time cash payment in the neighborhood of $40 million to S3. This is super duper news. Huge, big, fantastic, wonderful, great!!!!! It's one of THE major events that any holder of S3 should have been looking for. IF semi conductors continue to be treated as well by the market as they are at present, AND, IF S3s product ramp goes as scheduled. The USC IPO could come out looking like last weeks internet stock. Some interesting things going on with the way S3 traded today. The MSN article sucked in a lot of traders of the lemming variety that will panic at the first sign of blood. Massive amounts of stock went across at the bid WITHOUT a drop in price. A trading pattern that usually precedes an enormous short squeeze. My guess is there will be a gap down at the open to push the lemmings over the cliff and give the shorts a taste of blood. Then the hammer will fall across any of the slow short players. Should get wild and bloody tomorrow. Whatever happens tomorrow, it is NOT going to be boring. Have fun. Regards, Don
