Re your "The lying caused the vendetta. " I don't think so. It started way before this on a great many really big deals in the opinion of the saints among us. I can't see why the Republicans can't accept that the man tried to avoid the best way he could being exposed as an adulterer. He dodged and weaved the best he could and probably did a lousy job of it ... BUT that is the extent of it! Making more of it than what it is indicates that there is some other motive.
