Hi G.J .....I thought ya might like this if you haven't checked in on Stockhouse lately: Posted By Subject PostTime (EST) Post ID ...offshore I'm BAAAAACK 2/5/99 / 7:51:04 PM 194264 << Previous Thread Sorry for the previous two empty messages. Accidently hit the return key - twice. "Souwestern" (sorry if I got your name wrong). Glad to see you listened to the tape and happy its still there (or at least was on the 2nd). Hate to think how much the call cost me -- I listened from start to finish and long-distance from "offshore" ain't cheap. Plus, I went out and bought some more shares. So the way I figure it, I'll recovery that cost exponentially or listening to that call will really cost me. I'll try to convince my computer literate mates in Toronto to try and record the call and post it -- but don't hold out to much hope. If anyone can, please do. There is some really useful information. Souwesterner, you picked up on what I got particularly excited about -- ie. the geochem soil samples. Apparently, the original intention last year was to focus the drilling around the fault line -- get indications on grades and depths and then do some modelling. However, Kinross also sent a couple of guys around the whole property to take soil samples and do the sort of things a major does when surveying a potentially attractive property. Late in the season is when they stumbled on the high/positive reading on the soil chem analysis. They apparently quickly moved a drill in to take one hole before the season was over. Apparently, nothing pointed them to the particular spot they drilled, except that it was within this very large (Kinross's words) soil chem anomoly. IMO, the reason that Kinross is excited enough to start giving the Railroad property profile is in part due to the results on this one hole. It adds considerable upside to the potential of this already large property with significant gold showings across what is starting to look like a very large area. Now getting back to the taped message, I strongly recommend listening to it. Again they spend about 20 minutes discussing Railroad -- I'm not a geologist -- so you shouldn't rely on me to transmit what the experts/insiders say themselves. This tape is a rare opportunity to hear first hand what a major thinks of its JV with a junior. Finally, while I've been quiet this week on postings (didn't update my link to the "new" Bullboard until tonight), I have been doing research on the history of railroad. Found some interesting stuff which I'll try to post this weekend. Nothing earth shattering -- just more independent analysis suggesting this particular segment of the Carlin trend has good potential. Have a good night. Offshore
