I just had an idea--maybe you tech-savvy SI folks can responds as to whether it has possibilities..

I am under the impression that one of the reasons for the delay in voice recognition technology deployment is the imperfection of the systems due to the complexity of individual speech differences. If in fact that is a problem, here is my proposed solution:

Develop a product that allows several recognition technology products to work virtually simultaneously. The product will compare the results to hone in on the correct interpretation of speech. In other words if 3 of 5 products each interpret a word in the same way, the product will assume that is the correct word. So the idea is simple: comparing results from several products that are currently 80+pct effective maybe can yield results that are 99% effective. This only would work if the current technologies don't get tripped up on the same words.

Surey this has been thought of before, but you don't know unless you ask. Any reactions? Ted
