There was one block over 800k on the TSE just after 10 AM and on the NASDAQ about the same time 800k. I think it must be the same company since the times were pretty close together. I haven't ever seen such a large block cross on both exchanges at or near the same time.

The last time I felt like this way was in 93 when NewBridge Networks was at 7 dollars.

Well did you know in the summer of 98 when NN was going to post a big loss with its UB networks Terry Mathews was about to sell some of his holdings before the release of the news but he didn't because he is a quality CEO. I think the stock was around $85 CDN and when they posted the loss it tank to around $30.
Back in 93 nobody expected the demand for data would be like it is today. Nortel just changed its name to Nortel Networks. The point I'm making is that there is no way you can compare the two companies.

When Corel was on the Java bandwagon I saw tremendous potential for growth. Considering WP was always the superior word processor and in the last two years Corel has better pricing but they failed to gain market share from MS.
When you fight against a monopoly you usually don't win as the past two years have proven this.
I just can't see how Corel can grow with just pushing WP and Cdraw.
The last Q showed me that they can cut costs but I don't see the big Rev increase that they need to make them grow.
Cowpland has always promised big things but could never deliever. All of a sudden you believe him and ignor his past track record.

I sure hope some more support comes in. From rough memory, the next lowest point it would likely trade at would be around $5.50 or so. I believe there will be much stronger support at that level. It may not slip further as Corel may have suffered from the "sell on news" philosophy. Certainly today there was a lot of support when it dropped slightly below $6 (low was around $5.85 for just a little while)

We'll have to see what happens tomorrow and the next week.
