Bill,
AOL has indeed split more than once in one year but never in two successive quarters. Yes, there's always a first time, but few companies split when they are in the process of digesting a large acquisition (Netscape) and companies like to believe the share price will hold up. With AOL's recent straight-up run, a few weeks of horizontal movement lack the kind of conviction companies usually want before a split. My guess is no split.
Best,
--Steve

re see post 13467 for split history
It looks like splits time doesnt it? Price is surely high enough, wonder on an announcement of a split AND good earnings (if it happens) what kind of a run up we will see????? Any bets?
OK by me!!!!!
(Bought my last shares at 141 so I need a good run up: also I have those 185 Feb calls.)
