Question to all.

I have a little ticker that runs on my browser that tells me the send and receive rates of my modem in both graphical and numeric form. Having used this for a long time, I "know" what the normal send and receive sequence is for browsing SI.

Twice tonight, my send rate has suddenly spiked to 56K and held for no obvious reason (no other IP programs were running). Being naturally suspicious, I think that I have picked up a trojan that is transmitting something off my HD to who knows where.

If this happens again, does anyone know of a monitor program or feature that I can use to identify the program that is initiating this anomalous send behavior?

Regards,

Tom
