There are always calls to sell. "At what price?" is the question here. Offer enough and the MM will write the calls himself. So I suspect this statement translates into that the calls had a very high premium on them, more than this prospective buyer wanted to pay. The buyer did not offer enough through his set limit price to attract a seller for a transaction to take place.
