Bob, this thread regarding the threat of low margin PCs to Apple and other PC makers started most recently because some folks were indicating that it had nothing to do with Apple. I was pointing out that it does. I'm aware of the OS X server and Apple's server offering but I don't think that they presently offer the same margin protection that some of the PC makers get from their far greater volume of high priced server options. I'm cautiously optimistic about OS X server and Apple's ability to make some small inroads into the mid to small size enterprises over the next couple of years. I trade in and out which means I need to try and forecast what Apple's stock will do. I bring up what I perceive as the negatives the street will focus on. I think this is one small part of reason why Apple stock fell back - the fact that it's margins are susceptible. The other is of course doubt about sales this qtr. Rich
