David, the Rocket knows a lot more about this, but the 3700's sound like ABI (Perkin Elmer) machines while the Megabaces are made and sold by Molecular Dynamics (now a unit of a unit of Pharmacia?). I believe INCY uses both kinds of machines, but as I understand, INCY has gotten pretty good with the Megas in that they have developed expertise to make those machines work very very well. Either way it's clear INCY buys (nad uses) these kind of sequencing machines; it does not sell them. PB
